Tidy your workplace before each session - clutter is distracting and breaks your focus. Take a moment to set your posture correctly: it prevents fatigue and pain during longer sessions.
Place your hands loosely on the keyboard. Leave enough room on the desk to rest your wrists. Keep your forearms horizontal, at a 90-degree angle to your body. Remember: when typing, only your fingers should move - your arms stay still throughout.
Sit up straight - don't lean forward, hunch, or cross your legs. Poor posture can lead to back problems. Keep your eyes on the text on the screen, not on the keyboard.
Before starting an exercise, warm up your fingers and wrists: clench your fists a few times and rotate your hands. It takes thirty seconds and reduces the risk of strain.
